Our Vision

Every day organizations, both commercial and public, collect large amounts of data and store these in databases and data warehouses. They collect all this data to enable them to control and steer their business. The real value of all this data is in the business information one can extract from it. Therefore organizations put information systems in place that compute even more derived data to gain an added value insight into the original data they collected.

In addition these organizations spend a lot of money on data analysis tools for data mining, text mining, and visualization and hire expensive experts that can work with these tools. This is a costly and time consuming process since first they need to determine from the business questions the proper analysis tasks and the best algorithm for the task. Next they need to prepare the data, build a model, test the model and fine-tune it. The expert performs these steps until he achieves the desired quality. If not he goes back to square one and selects another algorithm and follows the same steps over and over again. In conclusion, collecting a lot of data does not automatically bring you the best information: it is very expensive and time consuming!

We from Treparel Information Solutions came up with a solution that, using a new mathematical algorithm called support vector machines (SVM), can control this data – information challenge! Our solutions use the SVM algorithm in our unique methodology that dramatically changes the way people obtain information from data by means of data mining, text mining and visualization.

To achieve this we developed and build the KMX software platform. KMX stands for Knowledge Mapping and Exploration which can be applied to any knowledge domain.

Where traditionally an expensive expert investigates one pattern at a time within a data set, KMX provides direct insight through complete access to all patterns and their relations from one or multiple data sets. KMX is unique in this!

KMX is primarily intended for professionals within large national and international operating organisations. These organisations can be earmarked as knowledge intensive and use large amounts of data in their operational business processes. This applies to finance-, insurance- and the telecommunications industry but also to those organisations for which analyses of large amounts of data and/or many different sets of data are imperative. Drug discovery in the life sciences, development of new materials or catalysts in chemistry, the analyses of numerous patient dossiers (e.g. CT/MRI images) in healthcare are examples of the latter category. But also analyses of logistic datasets in the transport industry as well as analyses of the vast amounts of text, data, e-mails and documents within governmental organisations and consultancy firms.

The Treparel KMX solutions suite consists of the KMX kernel, the KMX server and the KMX client toolkit.  The kernel is responsible for all information processing functionality, e.g. data analysis, model generation, and so forth.  The KMX server embeds the KMX kernel and makes its functionality available to KMX client applications.  The KMX client toolkit is used to build KMX clients. These are the interfaces that are used by our clients to access our information processing solutions. They communicate with the KMX server over the internet.
